meet the team
Jamie Horton
MD
Founded Harlequin in 1998 after six years with The 16th/5th Queens Royal Lancers, a medium reconnaissance regiment, in the army and saw active service during the first Gulf war. Having always wanted to run his own business Jamie 'discovered' a gap in the interiors market and Harlequin Tabletop was born. His vision for the company is to provide the very best service, advice and design possible for Harlequin's clients.
Loves: 'the people I work with', skiing, sailing, shooting and coffee. Long weekends in the Hampshire countryside surrounded by family and dogs.
Dislikes: early mornings, rudeness and poor service...
Alan Banks
Sales Director
Alan Banks 'crossed over' from fabrics to tableware and accessories in 2007. He brings an artistic flair and depth of industry knowledge to the sales team he runs. A charming man with a calming manner, Alan is more than able to handle any situation or eventuality thrown his way – the word 'panic' is not in his vocabulary.
Loves: surfing in Cornwall with his girls, Mosie (his labradoodle), skiing and his collection of brightly coloured shoes.
Dislikes: Bad design and not being able to eat fish.
Romany Headlam
Senior Account Manager (Interiors)
Romany Headlam – Harlequin's longest serving member of staff has an encyclopaedic knowledge of tableware, having spent 17 years as the china and glass buyer at Asprey. With her legendary attention to detail and methodical approach to each project, Romany's clients always come back for more!
Loves: Sidney the 'one eyed' pug, family holidays and entertaining friends.
Dislikes: She can't touch foam rubber, squid in ink, rudeness and SNAKES!
Stephen Parrett
National Account Manager
Stephen joins the Harlequin Team this January having spent the last 25 years working within the Glass & China industry. Following a successful career with John Jenkins-William Yeoward Crystal, he decided that the time was right to move to another company and is excited about the new challenges ahead. Stephen is our new National Account Manager and will be managing Harlequin's growing agency business. He brings a great deal of knowledge and professionalism with him, is well known and respected in our industry - we are delighted that he is on board.

Dislikes: Blue Stilton, Red wine and laziness.
Kate Aumonier
Junior Account Manager (Interiors)
Kate Aumonier comes from a creative background, is a singer songwriter and has played Wembley! She continues to play regularly around Europe and the office can often be found supporting her at gigs. Kate brings a fresh direction with her ideas and often comes up with the unexpected design solution.
Loves: Red wine and cheese on a rainy day. All kinds of music, performing, friends, family and Houmous.
Dislikes: Beetroot and bullies.
Tinks South
Office Manager
Tinks South started her career in china and glass 10 years ago, working for a wedding list company followed by a stint as Norman Foster's PA. Tinks had worked with Harlequin during this time and wanted to get back into china and glass so asked for a job and has been a great asset since then. Tinks joined Harlequin in 2006 and the office simply wouldn't run without her.
Loves: Dancing, red wine and the sun.
Dislikes: Inefficiency, rain and being cold.
Charlotte Le Blanc-Smith
Purchasing Manager
Charlotte Le Blanc-Smith came to Harlequin in late 2006 for a short term role to help organise the office before she left for a ski season. While in Canada skiing she was greatly missed. Charlotte returned to join Harlequin fulltime in April, the following year. Her diligence and organisational skills have brought clarity to our purchasing department. Charlotte is key in ensuring our clients receive their goods on time.
